The Clinic staff is currently comprised of the Executive Director, Medical Director, Director of Development, Business Manager, Administrative Manager, Medical Resources Coordinator, two nurses and a Patient Assistance coordinator. All other services are provided by our dedicated volunteers.

Thomas Burd, M.S.A., N.H.A. brings a wealth of experience emanating from numerous years in the health care industry and social services. During his 8 year tenure as Vice President-Residential Care for a nationally recognized rehabilitation hospital network, he led the division in significant profitability and operational integrity where his Special Rehabilitation Facility operations received the designation as “Centers for the Promotion of Excellence,” by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Prior to that he spent 8 years as an Administrator at Temple University Health System where he was in charge of Sub-acute programs. Mr. Burd holds a Master of Science in Health Sciences Administration from West Chester University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Temple University. Mr. Burd is a resident of Malvern and he has three children ages 32, 27 and 15. |

Dr. Lorna B. Stuart is the founding physician and medical director of The Clinic, a nonprofit medical clinic for uninsured and under-insured persons located in Phoenixville Pennsylvania. She holds degrees from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, the University of British Columbia School of Medicine, and Oxford University, and was a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University. After 25 years in private practice, Dr. Stuart recognized the need for dignified health care for the uninsured and founded The Clinic. She has been widely recognized for her contributions to health care by local, national, and even international media, and was featured on CNN, the Today Show, Voice of America – the Chinese edition, and in People Magazine. |
