Jesse can be found at The Clinic almost every day of the week, but you won't find him on our volunteer schedule.
"My work schedule is two days on, four days off, so I am able to volunteer at The Clinic between three and four days per week," he states. "I fill in where I am needed, seeing patients to lessen the load on the physicians who are scheduled that day." Jesse was introduced to The Clinic by his mother, who worked at Phoenixville Hospital. He has been volunteering here for three years.
After receiving an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Sports Medicine from PennState, Jesse went on to get a graduate degree in Public Health from the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hahnemann. He paid his way through college working as a paramedic, has been a volunteer firefighter for seven different companies, and has served as the chief of emergency services for Jefferson Health. Currently, he works as a clinical practitioner for Delaware Valley Transplant.
“The way The Clinic operates represents the way I think medicine should be practiced,” states Jesse. “Here, the patient always come first, rather than cumbersome paperwork. I feel privileged to volunteer with brilliant and patient-focused doctors such as Dr. Lorna Stuart and Dr. Steve Mark. They are the kind of doctors anyone could hope to become.” In addition to volunteering at The Clinic, Jesse spends his spare time playing in a rugby league and flying planes out of the Brandywine and ChesterCounty airports. An accomplished pilot, he enjoys night flights over the area. “Jesse is one of the most conscientious practitioners that I have had the pleasure of working with in my three plus years at The Clinic,” comments Dr. W. Steven Mark. “I look forward to seeing patients with him.” Dr. Lorna Stuart states, “Jesse brings us his surgical skills from his work in transplant surgery and he is of enormous help to us at The Clinic. We are grateful for Jesse’s time, dedication and patient-centered care.”
