Effective 11/8/16, The United States Department of Health & Human Resources has deemed The Clinic’s volunteer health professionals, board members, officers, employees, and contractors to be “covered individuals” for purposes of the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) medical malpractice liability coverage. In essence, our new insurance carrier is the Federal Government and all covered individuals of The Clinic are deemed employees of the Public Health Service.
