The Clinic has a clinical laboratory on site. Each year, The Clinic draws samples for over 5,000 laboratory tests. In order to obtain a laboratory test, the test must be ordered by one of our doctors. Approximately 21% of the lab tests are completed in our in-house lab. The remainder are paid for by The Clinic and performed at special rates through a contract with Quest Diagnostics.
Our Pharmacy Assistance Program (PAP) advocates for patients to enroll them with pharmaceutical companies, who in turn provide brand name medications to patients for free. The PAP program provides a substantial amount of free medications to patients. In order to enroll in the program, a patient must be a current patient of The Clinic. The patient will schedule an appointment to see the PAP coordinator at the suggestion of our doctor. The initial appointment with the coordinator will take 15-60 minutes depending on the complexity of the patient’s medication needs. The patients who apply to the programs will be asked for proof of household income which will include one or more of the following, depending on the company’s requirements: (most recent tax return, the past 30 days of pay stubs, unemployment verification, or social security or pension information).
The Clinic also pays for generic prescriptions at no cost to the patient if the patient truly cannot afford the prescription. The patient must have seen one of our doctors first. No special information is needed from the patient for these medications. in-house.
