At The Clinic, we provide comprehensive primary medical services to our patients, including diagnosis, treatment, medications, laboratory tests, and follow-up care. We provide all of the types of care that a busy family physician’s office would offer. VISITS FOR ALL SERVICES REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT.
In addition, specialty medical services offered are:
- ophthalmology
- urology
- gynecology
- physical therapy
- psychology
- pediatrics
- dermatology
- acupuncture
- oorthopedics
These services are provided entirely by volunteer specialists.
A volunteer addictions counselor, dietician and health counselor are also available.
As a primary health care provider, The Clinic sees an interesting mix of patients. Our patients are people from all walks of life, from downsized employees and small business owners, to students and recent immigrants; old and young, male and female. Often, these patients do not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid. When it comes to health care these people simply fall through the cracks and cannot afford the cost of a regular Doctors office visit. They would go untreated and ignored if not for resources such as The Clinic.
The Clinic operates on a “free clinic” model. While we inform our patients that an office visit with a physician costs $70.00 and we ask them to make a contribution to their care, it is solely based on their honesty and ability to pay. Few patients pay the entire cost, most pay an average of $15, and many pay nothing. We believe that every person deserves access to quality care, regardless of their ability to pay. It is only through the dedication of our volunteers, and support from generous individuals and groups, that we can continue to make this possible.
