Barb is one of those people who knew she wanted a career in nursing since she was a child.

She was always happiest when she was helping someone. Born and raised in Phoenixville, she married and began a family of four boys.

Her boys continue to live in the Phoenixville area and she is a proud grandmother to Reese Marie.

Karen originally started to volunteer at The Clinic to gain experience for a job search. Two years later, she says she “can’t imagine working anywhere else.”
